John Heisler

John graduated from the University of Virginia in 1972 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He served 3 years as an officer in the U.S. Navy and joined the Whiting Turner Contracting Company in 1975. After working for Whiting Turner as a project manager for 10 years, John left to start J.A. Heisler Contracting in November of 1985.
John served on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America where he has served as the Richmond District President. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the AGC of America (national). He also holds memberships in the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Construction Specifications Institute, and the International Facility Managers Association.
In addition, John serves on the Advisory Board for the Engineering and Architecture Department of J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. He is also a registered professional engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
